Dear Warriors!
How was Bike Expedition for you?
I trust that you had fun.
We are now on the second week into BB Week, i hope that you are now approaching closer and closer to your personal and group target!
Here are some tips on how to obtain more donation:)
Firstly, as you have already know, we are only allowed to obtain donations from whom we know. So, one method is to gather your friends (especially friends whom which you have known during Primary school!) for meet-up like lunch meeting and stuff like that. You have 3 cards, aim for each of your friends to donate $2.
But of course, if they don't have enough, you can actually allow more than 2 person to share the same donation amount. For example, if your friend has a $1 to donate and other friend has also another $1, they can still donate under the same $2 donation box.
Secondly, engage your parents! Let them know that the amount that the Company is raising is meant for events conducted in the BB Program. The more we raise, the better it is for the quality we are looking at. As adults, they tend to give more. Share with them things like "BB is not a member of the Community Chest as such we need to raise funds for our own operation" and "Donation made in the Donation Leaflets (>$100) are tax-deductible". Should you need donation leaflets, please let your Group Primer know!
Thirdly, don't be afriad to ask! Especially your teachers, classmates and friends from other CCAs and levels. I believe that if you ask, they might give. But if you don't ask, they will never just come to you and give, right?
As of last Thursday 18th Mar, we have hit about 2% of our Company target of $9150. We may be far from target but i trust that more is on the way :) An update on the collected amount will be release on Wednesday 24th Mar.
So these are some simple tips on how to get more donations. But firstly, you must be committed to the success of this BB Week project. Time is short, slightly less than 13 more days to go! Lets do this for OUR Company, where we belong!
