These are supplementary notes for you to complete Stage 1A to 2D

What made the social entrepreneur (SE) decide to come up with the initiative? What inspired him/her?
Firstly, decide on a SE. When research how his/her/their venture works. How is come into play and etc. This is so that we know what this SE in person and the venture properly. Add links will be nice also.

Did it cost the social entrepreneur anything to pursue the venture?
Just by simply saying “yes” will not be answering the questions, at least for my part. You got to state examples in your own words and understanding.

What was the social entrepreneur hoping to achieve?
Some of you like to state the mission of the venture, which is good. But above and beyond the mission of the venture, what do you think the SE hopes to achieve? You should be able to guess it…

(Social): How are you affected by the situation of people around you?
Now these 3 questions requires you guys to parting the SE into your shoe. Assume that you are that SE, and seeing what the SE have been seeing, does it affects you?

(Emotional): What aspect of the social entrepreneur did you find most inspiring?
With that, you should be able to say why are the SE so inspiring to you. Need to give concrete examples about how come you are inspire and how will you respond to such inspiration?

(Leadership): Would you leave familiar and comfortable surroundings to help others?
This is yet another open-ended question, which you are expected to say yes/no and why.

What do you think it's like to be a child facing illiteracy, poverty, a lack of sanitation, or food?
Share how you feel by feeling a according to your area of venture. Say your venture is about literacy, then a good question to ask yourself is, “If you did not receive any form of education, how will you feel to be constantly stuck in the poverty cycle”

Would it change your life if someone came and helped you out of that situation?
Saying “yes” is again not enough. Give some example that the person can help you. For example some decided to give you a some money to start a small business, how will it help. Relate this to the SE you have chosen at Part 1a).

What are some really difficult situations that children face around the world?
This is an open-ended questions. You are staying in Singapore which is definitely more well to do. Take a look at youtube and see whether you can find example of how a poor child is doing in that part of the globe.

(Social): Do you think your actions can make a difference?
Give example of YOUR ACTIONS. Donate your money is one. What else can you do? Raise awareness among your friends is also one. There are a lot of different way to contribute your efforts without giving too much money. The question is can you do it creativity. Remember what Ahmad Daniel and Razy did, they sang for Habitat for Humanity. So your actions can make a difference, just act on it.

(Emotional): Do you feel you have a responsibility to act?
This is a honest questions. Simply asked yourself.

(Leadership): What resources do you have on hand that you can use?
Look at your talent and your resources, your capabilities and what you can do as a secondary student. State over here.
