I'm excited to share the drill plan for everyone. This year, 99th Coy. is moving in a powerful way, a lot of things are changing for better.
One example is drills.
This year, we have implemented the Empowerment Camp during the March Holidays as part of our aim to cut down the number of hours spent in training drills.
Under of our new plans, all new recruits will undergo this special camp from the effect of 2011 and they will passed out with a Stage 1 Drill Badge. After which, they will be given an opportunity to become a "specialist in drills" by joining the Intensive Drill Training program.
Only Boys who are under the program will get to "upgrade" themselves to stage 2 and eventually stage 3 drill badge.
Benefits of participating in Specialist In Drill training
1.1 All Boys who are in SIDt will be officially called as SID (Specialist in Drills) -Trainee and will passed out as SID and will receive a certificate as part of SID
1. Sec1 boys who are in SIDt will get a special opportunity to upgrade themselves to stage 2 drill badge whereas sec 1 boys who are not in this training will stay at stage 1 drill badge until you graduate.
2. Sec1 boys who are in SIDt will get a special opportunity to be assessed and one will be selected to be the next deputy drill master in 2012.
3. All boys who are in SIDt will get a chance to participate in key roles (e.g. flag bearer, escort) for Canberrean's Day Parade.
3.1 All boys will be automatically selected for marching contingent or guard of honor for Canberrean's Day Parade or National Day Parade. Whereas the rest of the boys will have to go through assessments and interviews.
4. All boys who are in SIDt will have a opportunity to come up with their own fancy drill steps with the guidance of the primers and officers and show case their fancy drill to the school and community
Of course, with all the attractive benefits come the terms and conditions
1. All trainee has to participate in all training
2. Only Medical Leave or School outings are allowed if you can't come for the training
3. You are required to show off how cool SID is to the rest of the company and make them jealous
