What's Easter?

Local authorities baffled; religious heads have no explanation.

The strong earthquake that struck in the early morning damaged more than just homes and injured civilians. Local authorities have revealed that it also affected the area near the grave of recently buried Jesus Christ.

In their short statement to the press, they have reported that the huge boulder used to seal the tomb was dislodged by the earthquake, and it appeared that the body is now missing from its resting place.

When interviewed, one of the special Roman guards posted to secure the tomb said, 'His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.'

Local authorities have yet to rule out foul play, though no arrests have been reported so far. Neither the chief priests nor the council members could be reached for comment at press time.

The authorities are now urging anyone that has seen the body of Jesus Christ to contact them immediately.

For full story, please see Matthew 27:57 - 28:15.

Drills - Attention

1.1 Basic Positions

Commands
Sekuad*- Sedi-A (se-di-YA) – Attention      [Command given when Squad is at Ease]
Sekuad*- Senang Di-RI – Stand At Ease     [Command given whilst at Attention]
Sekuad*- Rehatkan Di-RI – Stand Easy       [Command given while standing at Ease]

Attention

Stationary Position
Stand Erect with shoulders held back; head facing front; the back of the neck; touching the collar; eyes open and looking in front just above their own level; mouth closed. Keep the legs straight; heels together and feet turned out at an angle of 30 degrees; arms close to the side; hands clenched with the thumbs vertical and in front, immediately behind the seams of the trousers. The weight of the body should be balanced evenly on both feet.

From the position of attention, all other drill movements may be carried out.

From at ease to Attention
The Left leg is raised until the thigh is horizontal. The foot points down with the toes vertically below the knees. The arms are pulled to the side of the body by the shortest route; hands clenched.

Followed by driving the left foot to the ground; the ball and the heel must reach the ground at the same time, to complete the position of attention.

Common Mistakes

Stationary Position
From at Ease to Attention
1
A strained position, restricting breathing
1
Bending the arms
2
Bending forward and allowing the body to sag
2
Bending the body when moving
3
Moving the wrong foot
3

4

6

7
Mouth not closed
8
Body not square to the front

9

Words for Promotion

Dear Warriors,

I know that promotion is a significant event for many of you as it marks your achievements which qualify you for a higher rank. To me, it is also very significant as it marks another year added to our journey together. Most of you will know that I take every rank seriously as I believe that every LCP, CPL and SGT we produce from the 99th Coy has a set of qualities which goes along with the rank. A rank which is given out easily has very low value. In this journey, I like to encourage you not just to focus on the stripes on your arms but the added experiences and increased competence which comes along with every promotion. I congratulate all of you for your promotion!! Well done, warriors!

Yours Sincerely,
CPT Amos

Good Morning, Boys!

Welcome Warriors,

This is our "NEW" Blog address. It has all the features that many of you were asking me for. We would adding more features in the future to keep yourselves updated and excited. In a way, its still work in progress.

When you leave a message on the Tag board, leave your name behind.
Do leave your comments or questions on the comment page.

As you can see, our cyber home is still rather bare-boned. While I work out a system to ensure responsible and efficient posting, in the meanwhile, if you have something that you want to share on the blog, send it to me at Bb99th@gmail.com with a short description and I or my team will try to make sure it is up within a day.

Warriors, Let us bloom.

Just like this 'Morning Glory', we are beautifully blooming into something "New". Our Chaplin's word to us is "New". We would have new experiences and venture out to new beginnings. I do pray that for each and everyone of you. Let's not live our old lives. But rather look out for "New" things that are happening. Life is not mundane nor "Sian". Live Life Intentionally, knowing that every moment counts. Lets put our successes and failures behind us. Let move ahead. Pressing on in the race (of life) just like a True Warrior.

Your Officer,
Sir Narash
